On the morning of Dec.27th, Professor Du Huanfang, Leader of Seminar for New Students, organized extracurricular practice activities for new students. They visited China Chamber of International Commerce and China Patent Agent (Hong Kong) co., LTD., Beijing office.
First, students visited the law department of CCOIC, and were welcomed by Vice Dean of Law Department Wang Chengjie, Director Zhao Feng and Alumni Nan Chunyu of legal Advisory Office. Vice Dean Wang introduced the history and the main functions of CCOIC, including “Three Fields”, “Five Parts” and the best-known program. He stressed that the students of law schools should focus on the real legal events, take an active part in moot court, and enrich both theoretical knowledge and practical experiences.
Students visited China Patent Agent (Hong Kong) co., LTD., Beijing office later. Vice Dean of the Legal Department Xiong Yanfeng and Lawyer Ke Ke received students. They showed the developing history and basic conditions of this company. Lawyer Ke expressed that, with the birth of Chinese Patent Law, this company was established in March 1984 in Hong Kong, which was the earliest and largest IP Law Firm in China. This company is headquartered in Hong Kong, and in Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai, New York, Tokyo, and other places, it has offices. Lawyer Ke also introduced the daily routine work of patent agents, communicated with students and encouraged students to learn knowledge as much as possible if interested in this field.
